Joining the Airforce with legal trouble?

When I was 13 years of age me and this girl were fooling around(kissing) and got caught and the police was called. I got a 3rd degree sexual assault charge.... Now this was expunged right away. My friend in the airforce said it shouldnt be a problem to join because i was so young and my asvab score is a 85. My other friend said to not tell the recruiter because they can't find out unless i join intelligence (intense backround checks) What do i do?

1. If the record was expunged, you should have no problems
2. Make sure you tell ur recruiter everything, it may not be a big deal since it was expunged, but if it is a problem then they may kick you out three weeks into bmt.....Plus you dont want to worry about the whole time ur in the airforce
3. Even if the record were not expunged, unless you are still 13, this matter is so stale that it will not be an issue, even if you need a SBI for intelligence work. One male who worked for me was busted for pot when he was under 15, and he had no issues and even cleared SBI.
