Why is it legal for army recruiters to show up at high schools?
does anyone else think that this is incredibly wrong? John D. i agree with you, altho you said it in an incredibly anti-semetic way, a better approach would have been to say Israelis Shovel Ready your an idiot, there hasnt been a war that threatened any of our freedoms since the war of 1812 (the civil war is arguable)

- they are career recruiters like at career fair.
- Government owned schools. I agree it's wrong though
- Yes, oppose the military with every fiber of your being. They will send our kids to Iran to die for Jews.
- THEY HAVE JUST AS MUCH RIGHT THEIR AS ANY OTHER RECRUITER.
- Why would it be wrong to offer as many career choices as possible?
- Because Neocons need more troops to protect Zionist interests.
- Well, because for one thing schools receive federal assistance. It would seem kind of odd if you give all this money to a public institution, who then banned you from trying to recruit people into governmental service. It's legal because there aren't any laws against it in your district. As far as I know, San Francisco is the only place that doesn't allow recruiters on school grounds. I didn't have any recruiters come to my school either, so your district probably has its own demographics that make it a likely area to find recruits. I'm not entirely in agreement with the policy either, as only people who know what they're getting themselves into should join the military. Often when our military is in dire need to recruit people, it'll resort to certain measures to increase enlistments (usually done through enticing young misguided high schoolers, or intimidating people who think about it then begin to back out). I'm not entirely in agreement with the recruiting methods either, but they have the same right to solicit young impressionable kids as any other employer at a job fair. The thing is, straight out of high school there aren't a lot of options for people not going straight into college, so it is a good choice for the less fortunate. Just consider yourself lucky that you don't live in a country where conscription is mandatory (like Israel).
- Why should army recruiters not show up at high schools? Military service in defense of our country is noble. If it were not for the military, where would your freedom be to post a question like this?
- Just because you have not thought about joining does not mean that some other kid feels the same. With everything going on in the world today, this is what is bothering you?
- Because the military is at least as honorable a profession as any other. If anyone is allowed to show up for "career days", or whatever you want to call it, everyone should be allowed to show up. Why do you think we haven't had a war on American soil since the War Between the States? It's because we HAVE a strong military that is ready to defend us. Do you want to wait until our freedoms are threatened before you form a resistance corps? Don't you think our politicians threaten our freedoms when they ignore the Constitution of the United States and pass immoral laws?
