What are the legal rights antiwar groups have on public campuses?

I know that military recruiters are legally allowed on high school campuses in order to persuade students to enlist, but what are antiwar groups allowed to do? Are they even allowed on campus without getting into trouble?

1. They could have booths are events as long as they register. They can meet by notifying the campus and paying any required permits.
2. Good question. In the 60's, antiwar groups had guts, and went everywhere. (Some got shot for it. But they accomplished a lot! I'm not so sure of their intestinal fortitude and determination today.
3. Sure if you like what happened at Kent State. They have the right of free space just like all of us.
4. They can organize a rally, via the procedures and policies in each State and campus for the most part. All of these rallies regardless of nature - are guaranteed free speech under our constitution and bill of rights.
5. If the antiwar groups have jobs to offer they should be able to recruit at a school job-fair just like any other organization. In the school's eyes, the military is there to offer education/career options just as a college or business would. There are other public forums that might be better for the antiwar group to use to get their message across. Many public libraries have areas set aside for free-speech zones. Some organizations, such as Women In Black stage protests in that area all the time. At least in my neighborhood.
6. One only has the rights one can enforce. The military do not have a right to be on campus. The federal government threatens to take all funding away from the entire school district if the military is kept away from any school. The school district capitulates and lets the military on the campus in fear of loss. The federal government is able to force local school districts through threats to allow the military to recruit soldiers on school grounds.
7. The military are on campus giving selected high-quality individuals additional options for their future. The antiwar groups only want to pursue a political agenda and have no real interests in the future of that student.
