- DON'T go into the field of Law <these jobs are REALLY drying up fast! (bad economy, plus thanks to the web everyone thinks they can be their own attorney, plus law office environments are VERY political!!!) Go into the field of healthcare <LOTS of jobs there!!!
- The first thing you need to work in the legal field is the proper training. Most legal jobs require an associate or bachelor's degree. If you want to work as a paralegal and have your bachelor's degree, you can obtain a paralegal certificate in a relatively short time. If you already have the education and training but have no experience then temping, contract work and volunteering can help you get your foot in the door. For more ways to gain legal experience when you have don't have any see: http://legalcareers.about.com/od/jobsearch/a/Test.htm Some of the most important skills you need in the legal profession are excellent oral and written communication skills, technology skills, time-management and organizational skills. - Ok if you want to be a superstar associate there is a podcast that can do wonders for this situation. In itunes type "aba litigation" and download all the podcast from this channel. You will have the experience of 10 years of law after you listen and understand them.
