  1. Have you signed your contract yet? If you haven't sworn in, nope. They can't make you do anything.
  2. i would call the command sergeant major and tell them that you are not in the army yet and do not need to abide by the ridiculous stipulation that he has set forth. Explain that you are interested in joining but you are making the decisions, you are only talking with the recruiter that you are comfortable with. If he does not like that you can tell him youll go to the air national gaurd, or a different branch.
  3. Retired army here,If you have not sworn in you can kindly tell him to kiss your $%^&^& and make the choice thats right for you once you swear in you lose that chance.
  4. The SgtMaj has no legal authority over you, especially if you haven't signed any paperwork. If you feel like you're getting bullied into something, you might want to consider talking to a recruiter from a different service. IM me if you want to talk about it a little more. I'm not a recuiter anymore, but I can give you some honest advice.
  5. Tell him to defecate in his own hat.
  6. you are not in the military yet and do not have to follow orders.... you can go through which ever recruiter you choose, you do not have to stick with one. technically you could tell him to kiss your *ss and theres not a thing he can do about it. i have never heard of someone receiving a phone call from the SGT Major of MEPS though.... so I wouldnt believe that it was actually him. tomorrow give a different recruiter a call and talk to them about the situation.
  7. YOU are not obligated to do as the CSM wishes, the other recruiter IS. Getting the big picture here kid. Just cuz he is an jackass does not mean he can't make you have a bad day. F him and go the the Reserve! SSG US Army 73-82
  8. Sergeants have NO authority of their own. Tell the "Command Sergeant Major" (if he is one) to give you the name, telephone number, and rank of his superior officer. He must do so or you can report him to the Army. Once you have it, tell your story to the Officer. Make sure he knows that you are being "pressured" into making a decision. Ask him if he "thinks" he can handle this or if you will need to go to the Newspaper for your answers. He'll be HAPPY to handle it for you. Tell him you plan to work with the second recruiter. Ask him DIRECTLY if he has an issue with that. He'll say no. Go to the second recruiter and get the information you need.
  9. If you don't have a command of the English language(grammar & spelling) WE don't need you in the Army!
  10. You might want to look into the Air National Guard or Army Reserves or Marine Corps Reserves because it sounds like you are getting jerked around and mistreated by the ARNG. If you haven't signed and actual enlistment contract and raised your right hand then they have no right or authority on tell you what to do. You can work with any recruiter.
  11. No, It is legal for the recruiters though. You will fined that the second one will no longer work with you and tell you to go see the first one.
